The CAFE Book: Engaging All Students in Daily Literacy Assessment & Instruction This summer I had the opportunity to read this companion book to the Daily Five.  This year I intend to implement parts of the program along with the Daily 5 this year. CAFE lessons will come from the CAFE Menu above. I integrate Science and Social Studies very heavily in my guided reading block, therefore I will not be pulling "strategy groups" as the CAFE book suggests. I will be doing traditional guided reading groups while conferring with students within the groups to set reading goals.
